Check this before you call
The thermostat
Make sure it is set to cool, with a temperature lower than the room, and that it has batteries if it uses them. It sounds obvious, but it solves more calls than you would think.
The breaker
If the condenser outside will not start, check the electrical panel to see whether the AC breaker has tripped. If it trips again when you reset it, leave it off and call us, because something is shorting.
The filter
A clogged filter blocks the airflow and can freeze the coil. If it is gray and full of dust, replace it and wait a while before turning the AC back on.
Water in the pan
If the AC shut off and there is water in the pan, the float switch stopped it to keep your house dry. The drain needs clearing, and that is a job for us.

Central systems with an air handler and condenser, mini-splits and window units. ComfortStar, Carrier, Trane, Rheem, Goodman, Lennox, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Samsung and LG, among others. Original parts with a [90 day] warranty on parts and labor.
Questions about repairs
How long does a repair take?
Most are done in the same visit, in [one or two hours]. If a part has to be ordered we tell you on the spot and come back [within 24 to 48 hours].
Do you repair older units?
Yes, as long as parts are available. If the unit is over [12 years] old and the repair costs more than half of a new one, we recommend replacing it and give you the quote.
Do you charge for the visit if I decide not to repair?
The diagnostic is charged, [from $89], and it covers the full check and the price in writing. If you repair with us, it is credited.
Do you work weekends?
Yes. We work Monday to Sunday, 7 AM to 8 PM, at the same price. [Holidays: confirm with Yoel.]
